This past weekend I took a little day trip to Seagrove North Carolina. Typically, Seagrove is know for their pottery; however, I went to photograph a Blacksmith. Jerry Darnell is the gentleman in the following photographs. He is a retired high school math teacher(calculus and trig). His father taught him the blacksmith trade and once he retired from teaching he picked the hobby back up. Jerry also teaches at several craft schools and works with various conferences.
