Just a swinging
Now that Emma is getting a little bigger and more alert each day, I'm starting to figure out her personality. Not only does she look like her Daddy, but she acts like him too. She is pretty laid back. She will lay on her play mat with the same toy in hand for a good 30 min, just cooing and giggling (that part she gets from me). The other day we headed to the park and I plopped her in the swing and she just loved it. She leaned back and watched the world go by as I gently pushed her. We'll see how long this laid back personality lasts, but I'm hoping its here to stay.
More joys of Dog and Baby
So this afternoon, I was holding Emma in the kitchen and she spit up. This is typical for her since she has really bad reflux. Usually I'm able to clean it up with a Clorox wipe pretty quick. But before i got the wipe to the floor, Maggie swooped in and licked it all up. It was so gross. I still disinfected the area, but that dog will consume just about anything.

Babies Best Friend
I love that Emma is starting to take an interest in the dogs. In recent weeks she reaches for them as they walk by and tries to pet them when they lay next to her. While waiting for Emma's arrival, I wondered if the dogs would like spending time with Emma. Sandy seems to be the most protective as I find her laying next to Emma as she plays and she sits at my feet while I feed Emma. So far Sandy is her best companion and Maggie is slowly warming up.

Easter Bunny
Easter
Yesterday was Easter Sunday, and what a wonderful day! We started off by going to Church. It was our second Sunday in a row of putting Emma in the Nursery. I love our Church nursery, the care providers are so wonderful with the children and I'm excited they begin sharing Jesus' love with the little ones so early. Emma seems to just take it all in and enjoy lots of cuddle time. During big Church they combine the toddlers and babies in the same room. We were told Emma spent time watching all the "big kids" run around and play. A little red haired girl was quite taken with Emma and sat next to her for a considerable amount of time.
We then headed into Raleigh to pick up my Grandpa and bring him back to the house. Our friend Stephanie also joined us for afternoon supper. Emma enjoyed all the extra attention and even played with plastic Easter eggs. All in all it was a peaceful and joyful day!

Bath-time Treasures
While giving Emma a bath, I reached in the Wash pod to tickle her foot, only to grab a piece of green squishy poop. She just laughed and smiled as I freaked out. Good times being a mommy and Happy Easter!
